For those of you looking for text chat, we now have a permanent room on Freedom Chat. Go to http://chat.themillionweb.com to get the latest version of Freedom Chat and join the #zonebbs channel after you install the program. And thanks to Aladdin and Jasmin for helping to set this up.

Oh cool. I don't have voice chat capabilities so I'll defenitely use this.

If i ever go on FC again sometime i'll definitely go there and hope to bump into some of my zoners hehehe! Also, any news on whether or not FC users will be able to implement what they're saying into QN's, I know that was a possibility people were discussing on quickntoes one night. Caitlin

Is there ever any people in that room? The last few days I went on freedom chat there was only one person and I don't like rooms like that because when you talk to the person, they don't even say anything. The same with 3 or 4 folks in a room.

Post 11 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 23-Feb-2005 22:23:03

I hate it when there people in a room and nobody talking, yet I hate it when it's too crowded, and you have these people who type too fast, and nobody can get a word in edgewise or sideways. I had freedom chat, but I dumped it, too many bots on there, and noone I could talk to on there.

There aren't a lot of bots in our channel. In fact, just one I believe.

I don't mind one bot, not if it performs a service, or is just there to keep the roomopen, I just hate those annoying insulting bots.

Yeah. It's probably just there to keep the room open. i need to go into the zone channel on FC, but I never see anyone in there.

Post 17 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 24-Feb-2005 19:09:33

Hi tyr, well most of them congregate in the accessible chat room, and they're ones I don't want to know, and well, there was just no one on there for me to talk to, so what's the point, so I uninstalled it along with a few other programs, like mirc, and microsoft chat.

Post 22 by 1800trivia (I can't call it a day til I enter the zone BBS) on Sunday, 13-Mar-2005 12:20:41

The server won't let me join a channel; it keeps telling me to "finish regsitration (change your nick".

Post 23 by kool_turk (This site is so "educational") on Sunday, 13-Mar-2005 21:14:01

I really hate that message.

Post 24 by Big Pawed Bear (letting his paws be his guide.) on Tuesday, 15-Mar-2005 6:37:59

i find that there are always the same ppl on freedom chat, the same lot who were on accessible chat when it used to be that. they are often immature indeviduals testing bots etc. there aren't the security features that are availalble on ventrillo either. not yet anyway.

Post 25 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 15-Mar-2005 19:18:11

I only had a good time on freedom chat when I created a room for a friend of mine who I talked to for 3 years on accessible chat, and one other time when I was lucky enough to find a nice young woman to talk to, but there weren't any one I could talk to, and they got that morpheus bot to insult me one time.

I never go to those IRC channels. I mainly just go on there to play uno that's it. Sometimes I might see if anyone's on the zone BBS channel, but like I said before, hardly anyone uses it.

Post 27 by wonderwoman (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 15-Mar-2005 21:48:46

I used irc servers with bofnet for a short time, but couldn't find folks to really talk to. I got tired of people just sitting there and not talking or answering, and when I did find some good conversationalists, I only saw them on once, and that was it, so i gave up.

Yes it's anoying when people do that. I try not to do it my self, but sometimes you might need to step away from the computer for what ever reason, but then you can just turn globle ignore on.
